Masters in Computer Science

University of Tartu, Estonia

» Tiina Turban

I studied in the Master’s Programme in Security and Mobile Computing (NordSecMob). It is an Erasmus Mundus Programme where students attend two different universities during their two year programme. I studied in Norway (NTNU) and in the University of Tartu. One of the main reasons why I chose this programme was the possibility to study abroad which I would highly encourage everyone to do. The other important factor for me was the variety of options for planning my curricula. More specifically, I could choose half of the courses I took at the University of Tartu from a long list of electives. As a motivated student, I highly valued the possibility of choice, because for me the goal was not to get my degree as easily as possible but learn as much as possible. Although currently I am not pursuing a security related carrier, my Master’s studies have broadened my horizon.
