» IT programmes received the most applications among University of Tartu English-taught curricula

Similarly to the previous year, most applications were submitted for IT specialisations: Computer Science programme received 242 applications from international candidates and 40 from Estonian candidates and the programme of Software Engineering had 277 and 41 applications respectively.

Programme Director in Master Studies of Software Engineering Professor Marlon Dumas said: “I have no doubt that this is one of the best, if not the best, cohorts of applicants we’ve ever had in this masters’ program.”

UT Senior Specialist for International Studies Ülle Tensing stressed that at the moment we can only count applications which have been submitted properly electronically. “How many of these applicants submit the required educational documents and get the minimal required score for applying becomes clear at the beginning of June the latest when admission decisions are made,” said Tensing.

Applications were submitted from 108 countries.
